Senses
he project focuses on the body, especially its upper part (the torso). I have borrowed techniques from the world of massage, where I worked for many years, transitioning from the body to an inanimate material (clay) and creating living beings using seeds and organic waste. The elements engage all the senses: smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. The work hints at the enduring importance of perseverance and making use of food scraps from the kitchen, emphasizing the significance of peels and the benefits of organic materials that people throw away in the trash. However, it is possible to recycle and collect these colorful elements and present them on platforms of glory and luxurious tables, appreciating their high nutritional value; in cooking, therapy, and art. The bodies themselves form a discourse and a challenging theatrical dialogue, expressive in a fantasy world that tends to move in silence.
Work size: Sculpture 50x40
