Borders in Motion

Installation, Sculpture, Oil Painting The road back and forth – outward, to the neighboring city, to the kibbutz, to the collective, and inward, to my small village – opens my eyes and broadens my view. I contemplate and deconstruct the language of the place I am part of, in all its forms: boundaries, walls, and buildings. I ask myself, what is the future of this place? How has it remained so small while everything around it grows? The streets, neighborhoods, and homes that now encroach upon the space of my home’s salon. Astonished, I open my eyes, and a new vision begins to form, revealing to me the core material – iron. The yellow gate borrowed from the kibbutz, the iron signage that announces renewal and construction, iron as a line that marks imagined borders, signaling "between the moving boundaries."
