This work is about my childhood home in the village of Silwan, where two different ethnic groups, Palestinians and Israelis, live. Can these two groups coexist? What could their encounter result in? Especially in light of the Israeli government's demographic and administrative policies, including Judaization and Hebrewization of the Jerusalemite space and discrimination and persecution against the indigenous Palestinians. I took random photos while walking around Jerusalem, then chose several photos of the mountain in Silwan, where my home is, taken from different angles at different times of the day and in various sizes. The work combines images processed through Photoshop, wood, and light. I printed the pictures in different sizes and chose the color orange to connect them. Photographed by: Rawan Joulani
