Art is everything to me. I surround myself with it and live my life exploring it. My studies at "Al-Musrara College of Arts" over the past three years have been essential in the process. Green Fields is my graduation project from school in photography. I have always dreamt of drinking my coffee on a small house's balcony surrounded by green mountains extending as far as the eye can see. My husband and I looked for a long time for land to buy in many areas of the West Bank. We fell in love with the beauty and tranquility of Deir Bazig, a quiet village full of greenery. The journey to the coffee on the balcony went to waste because of a second piece of land we bought 9 years ago in Sur Baher, Jerusalem. After all these years, chasing a building permit in Sur Baher destroyed my dream. I ended up in a high residential building in a crowded area. Photographed by: Rawan Joulani
