My origins

The collection draws inspiration from the ritualistic and emotional moments of a Palestinian woman’s wedding day, where tradition, femininity, and identity meet. Through a contemporary lens, the Palestinian woman is reimagined, blending past and present, softness with strength, reflecting inner balance and resilience. It features four white jumpsuits with sharp lines and angles, each with its own personality, yet forming a cohesive narrative. The jumpsuit transcends its role as an alternative to the traditional gown, offering a platform for self-expression. The abaya, traditionally worn when leaving her parental home, is reinterpreted as a modern veil, connecting the bride to her roots while amplifying her presence. Textile patterns draw from keffiyeh motifs and tree branches, embedding memory and symbolism. Materials include beads, drill fabric, leather-like textiles, cotton, and wool threads, crafted through weaving, embroidery, and beadwork. The collection celebrates the Palestinian woman, her strength, elegance, and identity, turning ritual into visual storytelling.
