I'm Hiba Ashkar, a Palestinian Arab artist. I mainly work with painting and photography, and my works deal with identity, heritage, women, and landscapes. My works reflect the life experiences that taught me the importance of women's role in society and the importance of self-respect and defining one's identity. My identity is very explicit in my works which also exhibit various female figures of different shapes. I use these figures to emphasize the presence of women.
