My name is Asmaa Gadir. My paintings deal with environmental and public space issues, famous fantasy stories, or strange people. My pictorial language ranges between surrealism and realism. I use different materials such as oil paint on canvas, acrylic paints, charcoal, etc. I mainly paint portraits. I look for people with interesting stories: stories of success, hope, survival, etc. I have always been drawn to hearing and imagining the lives of others and seeing them anew in my paintings. I also paint landscapes, but each painting has a specific personal story that I find relatable. I also like fantasy stories, which I like to draw from an Islamic perspective
