I use different media in my art: painting, drawing, video art, and photography. Drawing gives me a great deal of creativity and freedom, but I recently discovered that video art is a better and more accurate platform to discuss certain topics or events, such as describing the Palestinian flag and the way it is perceived by the occupation.
My works focus on social, cultural, and political issues that are relevant to the life of Palestinians, such as coexistence, occupation, immigration, and heritage. My work process begins when I encounter incidents of violence and oppression. Then I narrate the story to myself and start making sketches that gradually turn into works of art. It is important for me to bring my origins and background into my work.
Being alone allows me to think freely and focus on my work and thoughts. It is important for me to be alone while working in the studio, which is my room in my parents' house.
