Body Story

All my life, I have been dreaming of becoming a ballet dancer. I started learning ballet when I was four years old. But the dream was cut short due to back and hip problems when I was thirteen. In my project, I want to show my experience with dance and the connection I have with my body and its movements. Dance is an art form that brings forth the dancer’s soul in the body’s movements- the dancer uses the music in order to show their emotions, experience, and energies. I studied the human skeleton to see how the movements of the dance affect it. I created gold jewelry for my final project. I come from a family of goldsmiths, and I hope to continue the family tradition. It was important to me to shine a light on the areas in my body that hurt and search for the beauty hiding inside my pain. Materials: gold, silver, stones, leather Working techniques: design and programming in Rhino, 3D design in Fusion, 3D was printing, laser cutting, casting, coating.
