Oh stone... In you are secrets and hidden worlds that ignite within me a desire to capture you... To examine you and dive into the folds of your corners and terrains... Oh stone, you are both harsh and soft, strong and fragile... You are free and yet bound... You are silent and loud... You are both the thing and its opposite. You are a witness to what was and what will be of events. You are the memory of time and place. You are my tool and my inspiration... Through you and within you, I write my lines and quote my works... Oh stone... Allow me to tell, through you, the story of a small house searching for traces of your impact amidst the changes... Allow me some space to dwell within your kingdom, filled with silence and peace... And grant me some of your sanctity and strength... For you are eternal, and I am human. Materials: Local stones from the garden, used nails, rubber bands. Techniques: Hand-cutting and carving of stone, machine cutting with water pressure, traditional metalworking techniques.
